Description: Aftermarket mercury verado power steering pump Gen B. It’s a European brand building power steering pumps for automotive. This pump was and is used in a number of cars, including Porsche. This should not be a surprise since the entire Verado line, when Mercury decided to create this performance line of outboards, was designed top to bottom by Porsche engineers! This pump has been modified in the electric connectors so that it plugs and plays with the Mercury harness using a 3 pin waterproof connector (see picture). If you have a Mercury which was upgraded to Gen C steering pump, ie the latest model, in order to use this pump you need also to go back to the original high pressure hose (part number 887643A01) and harness, as per your motor. If you can remove the old pump, you are more than capable to install the new one. I have it in my Boston Whaler with a Mercury Verado 2006, and it runs like a Swiss watch!! It replaces pumps from Gen A, B and C. This pump is a fraction of the cost of the OEM pump which costs over $1000!! I guarantee you, you will not be disappointed! The pump has 24 month prorated warranty against manufacturing defects. Water intrusions in the controller are not covered by the warranty. I ship internationally with DHL, unless you are ok to use EBay international shipping service. For international shipment, the pump may require to pay duties for clearance. Local South Floridians can pick it up in person. Please note:Rack and pinion outlet size line M16x1.5 (3/8)Oil return line stub diameter 10 mm(this is compatible with Mercury OEM pump) I can ship internationally with D The pump is IDENTICAL to the OEM one. Returns: Please note that the return is accepted only if the item is unused. Please feel free to ask questions before the purchase or during the installation should you require so. Thanks. Orders placed up to 4:00 pm (EST) will be shipped the same day, as much as possible. Pump BOX, high pressure hose and harness are NOT included. The transaction only includes the pump. Please check my other listing on the Gen C pump, should you have an outboard compatible with Gen C pump. Ps: speaking to boaters across USA, I heard quotes from boat mechanics ranging from $2,500 to $5,000 to replace the steering pump (and upgrade to the Gen C model). How about staying with the Gen B and you swap the pump yourself since it’s a plug and play?
