Description: Here Is A Rare, One-Of-A-Kind Signed & Dated Kim Ki-Chang (1914-2001) Hand Painted Abstract Ceramic Vase. Kim Ki-Chang Was A Renowned Korean Artist Who's Artistic Evolution Can Be Divided Into Five Periods: Realism, Religious Painting, Social Landscapes, Abstractions, And In His Words, "Idiot" Landscapes. This Large 17" x 13" x 7 3/4" Vase Was Created In His Abstract Period. I Have Included A Photo Of Four Painting Kim Ki-Chang Produced That Are Similar In Style To This Vase. I Believe This Is The Only Ceramic Vase By Unbo, As He Was Also Known, That Depicts Abstract Dancers. Kim Ki-Chang Became Deaf When He Was Seven Years Old Due To Typhoid Fever In 1920. He Overcame This Handicap And Rose To Be The Leading Korean Artist Of His Time. Many Will Know This Artist From His Olympic Posters. His Work MOU-AK, Given To UNESCO By The Korean Government Is Of The Same Genre As This Vase And Can Be Seen In The Last Photo On This Listing. The Dancer Holds A Fan. The Condition Is Excellent w/ No Flaws. Please Preview The Photos Carefully. Questions? Just Ask.
