Description: Up for sale here is this complete rebuild kit for the McIntosh MC2125 amplifier. This contains new capacitors for the meter board, two output boards, power supply board, input board, and replacements for the four screw-terminal main capacitors. This kit includes 51 parts--4 Chemi-Con main filter capacitors, 15 Nichicon PW capacitors, 6 bipolar Nichicon Muse capacitors, 6 Wima film caps, 2 Supertech axial electrolytic caps, 1 Supertech axial film cap, 15 transistors, and 2 diodes. The four main filter capacitors are upgraded to new Chemi-Con 12000 uf 63v screw-terminal caps, which are drop-in replacements for the originals. You may need to reuse the screws from the old main caps. These are all high-quality brand new genuine parts, the same ones I use when I rebuild vintage gear. The capacitors are all at the same or improved capacitance (uf) ratings and the same or improved voltage ratings. The four filter caps go up a bit in capacitance, which is not an issue. All axial caps are replaced with new axial caps. The MC2125 is a high-end amplifier, so you should have experience doing this type of work and should have a good soldering iron and desoldering tool. I will include very basic instructions, but this kit is intended for a professional or knowledgeable amateur. Please see my pictures for details.
