This valve body is better than OEM, it features many upgrades to increase reliability over the standard OEM valve body. Theses upgrades include: Upgraded Springs for smoother shifting, New EPC Oversized Pressure Modifier Valve. CAUTION: We have been members of the eBay community since 2000 and have been selling remanufactured valve bodies here since 2014 and would like to take a moment to caution our potential customers. In recent months there has been an influx of sellers on here and other e-commerce sites that are selling USED valve bodies as "Remanufactured" with "Lifetime Warranties" and "Sonnax Updates." To the educated buyer these claims are obviously fraudulent as the prices are too low for them to be remanufactured, let alone updated with Sonnax parts kits. We are an authorized Sonnax distributor and can assure you that you cannot purchase a remanufactured valve body for $100.00-200.00, with Sonnax kits installed. Costs are just too high to make that realistic. Granted a used part may last you 100,000 miles depending on it's previous use, or it may last you a month, you just don't know. Please count the number of Solenoids to determine the correct valve body for your vehicle. Also, you need to determine whether the Valve Body has a Plug or Wire Type Temperature Sensor, which DOES NOT COUNT as a Solenoid. See the RED ARROW above and the pictures below for the location of the Temperature Sensor. The above photo shows the locations and identification of the 6 Solenoids on the 6 Solenoid version of the GF4A-EL Valve Body. IMPORTANT NOTE: Loose RTV Causing Valve Body Problems This family of trans-axles does not use gaskets between the case halves. Instead a sealing compound is used. Always use Locktite 518 Gasket Eliminator or equivalent. Locktite 518 is an anaerobic sealant that cures rapidly in the absence of air between two close fitting metal surfaces. DO NOT USE RTV Sealant to seal the case halves!!! If you use RTV Sealant to seal the case halves, pieces of the sealant break off and find their way in to the Valve Body and clog screens, solenoids, plug holes in the separator plate and stick valves. As you can imagine, a variety of transmission problems can occur, the most common of which are: slipping or no reverse, eventually burning up the reverse clutch. Warranty Information World Wide Specialty Parts warrants to the owner that it will repair or replace, at World Wide Specialty Parts option, each valve body remanufactured, when that valve body(s) is found to be defective in material or in factory workmanship, under normal use and service. The Warranty period shall extend for twelve (12) months from the date of sale. Defective or malfunctioning valve body(s) must be returned to World Wide Specialty Parts. All returns must be approved by World Wide Specialty Parts and clearly display the assigned return authorization number (R.A.) on the packaging. Returns must be accompanied with the purchaser’s copy of the original invoice to validate the date of purchase. The Warranty does not cover: • Removal and replacement - Labor Costs • Loss of time, inconvenience or other consequential damage • Any World Wide Specialty Parts valve bodies that have been: -Subject to misuse, negligence, alteration or accident -Improperly installed in the judgment of World Wide Specialty Parts, so as to adversely effect its performance and reliability. If we do not charge a core deposit, we just ask you use the prepaid core label to return your core if you do not want it. That way the next person who needs one will be able to get one. Thank you. When you receive your valve body there will be a plastic pouch on the top of the box. Inside this pouch is the packing slip and prepaid UPS Label for the core folded up together. Use this label and the box the new valve body comes in to ship your core back, just let the valve body drain and place it in a garbage bag before shipping please. Just stick the label on the box and drop it off at a UPS location and we will handle the rest. You have 90 days to return the core before things become complicated. After 90 days eBay and most credit card companies close the transaction and we can no longer process any refunds. We will accept cores after 90 days you will just have to contact us to arrange another way to receive the refund, through PayPal or another EFT processor. We have been short-staffed since Covid so core processing may take 4-6 weeks once your core is received.
