Description: This Matchbox Across America 50th Birthday Series TV News Van is a special edition diecast model in 1:73 scale. The light purple panel van features an antenna & camera that rotates and is unopened in its original box. Produced in 1989 in China, this limited-edition van is part of the Matchbox brand and is perfect for collectors or enthusiasts of TV news vans. The model is based on the TV News Van character family and is a great addition to any diecast vehicle collection. The 2002 Across America Series are a series of various Matchbox vehicles with exclusive deco's, based on US states. They were designed to celebrate 50 years of the Matchbox brand. Each car came with a small plastic license plate to represent each of the 50 States of America. There were an additional 4 vehicle exclusive, mail in, models for 4 countries and another 4 models released worldwide.
