Description: On offer, we have an original etching by French artist Marie Laurencin (1883-1956). "The Maiden With The Black Ribbon" or, "Elegante" is signed in pencil on the lower right "Marie Laurencin" and numbered on the left "15/160". Produced in 1926, this is an excellent example of her enchanted portraits produced between World Wars. The painted silver frame measures 12" X 9 1/2" X 1/2". The print is 6" X 3 3/4" with the image a bit smaller. This weighs 1 pounds 4.5 ounces. This is in excellent condition. The print is bold, clean and clear. I do see faint watermarks on the bottom edge of the matte. The custom fame has some light scratches. This print has not been examined out of its frame. As I am not an expert, on art please view my photographs for more description. This is from my friend who is moving to a much smaller home and parting with many of his treasures.
