It's your basic all-around util- ity, fun house on three wheels-done up in class manner by George Fergu- son of George's Custom Cycle, for- merly of the Denver, Colorado, area. Unfortunately, George himself has been caged in a quod and info has been reduced to a tiny trickle comin' down the slope of the Continental Divide. Gaining insight into the history of this oddity has been next to impos- sible, kinda along the lines of the Dallas Cowboys havin' a winnin' sea- son. That is, on account of his incarcer- ation, info has been nil other than what we can remember since first set- ting eyes on this pristine machine at the first Easyriders Bike Show on the ----------- 4 ----------- E 10 I met Jesse James back in 1978, in HARLEY 11 12 1 9 briated and there was some tension in that dark, rickety joint in the foothills. Some pushin' and shovin' had been fillin' the air with who's-gonna-draw- first vibes, when outta nowhere this all-white shovelhead weaved into the 2 3 4 MOTORE HARLEY DAVIDSON SYLLES 8 765 DAVIDSO parking lot, cartin' one of the most bi- zarre characters I had ever set my whiskey-coated pupils on. He looked like a lum- berjack who'd been attacked by a dozen pit bulls. His shit was in shreds. Hell, even his bike looked like it had been in a fight. Nothin' was clean or detailed. The white paint on the frame was chipped and scratched, and the only chrome consisted of the foot-over wide glide and the apes reach- ing at the moon. He wobbled between bikes and sharp glances from various uptight riders, until he reached the door. Then, he slammed on his brakes, hollerin' somethin' about whiskey and whippin' up on some citizen who slandered the artwork on the sides of his smudged, ivory fatbobs. His yellin' and screechin' took the edge off the jukebox, which was tryin' its best to filter the anger through sousty ----------- 5 ----------- TH ith reams of film strewn over the hardwood floor of the old brick warehouse, photo equipment stacked to the rafters, backdrops hanging off props, and models tiptoeing in and out of the dressing rooms, this photog was too busy to pull the shutter release. Instead, he was in the garage out back, working with his assistant, Fred, on the bike you see here. This is a novelty. A professional photog's bike, shot by the film shredder himself. But John Bilecky, owner and creator of Elektra Glyde Films, ain't no run of the mill shutterbug. He's good, as you can see from the flicks of his ride, damn good. The ultimate in male fantasies come true, right? Wrong. Do you know how tough it is dealing with hundreds of beautiful...no, gorgeous, women? Dealing with all the behind-the-scenes bullshit, day in and day out. But maybe a little background work first. After looking at my picture, I'm sure you're wondering what all these babes are doing hangin' around this old scooter tramp. Well, it all started out innocently enough. Hmmmm, as the dream comes into focus (or maybe the nightmare)...I had the dirty job of finding cover girls for a tabloid that me and two other hooligans owned. It wa my first paper rip-off version of Easyriders, and it led me to my first "Angel," and cover girl, Miss Carol.
