Description: The attached photos show exactly what you will receive: A Marantz PMD670/U1B with Memory Cards, USB Adapter for transferring data, Power Adapter, 2 battery holders, Mic cable, and a nice, padded carring case. We do not copy photos from another website and send you a looks-alike. I'm retired and selling off my audio equipment. I've had several portable, digital recorders when they first came out, including Zoom and TASCAM models. But only Marantz provided microphone low noise-levels for professional use at the time of their introduction. That's why Marantz became an industry standard. Now the market is flooded with miniaturized recorders that have microphone and line inputs/outputs based on miniature (1/8") TRS and TRRS connectors. You've got to be nuts to trust such unreliable connectors. They can come loose at the slightest twist, and the internal prongs wear out easily. Regardless of whether you're recording outside, in an office, a studio, on stage with a video crew, you need to be certain that the connections you make are secure and stay that way. This Marantz recorder includes an AC power adapter (an actual Marantz brand, not a substitute), 2 standard AA-size battery holders (one battery holder is already inside the unit), There's an external connector with a USB cable for transferring files from Compact Flash Cards to your computer, including 4 Compact Flash Cards to get you started. I preferred using several of the smaller capacity sizes, but the larger capacity sizes are now available. There are two twenty-foot XLR cables (for external mics, even though only one is shown in the photo. No external microphones are included, except for the two built-into the recorder. There's also a padded carrying case with a shoulder strap included as shown in the photos. The specs for this model are well documented on the internet, including the ability to change the sampling rate, bit depth and codec. I made a short test recording and it still works fine. It is basically a highly reliable and flexible two (stereo) channel recorder with a switch for using phantom-powered microphones. The 50-page English manual can be downloaded from the internet. We ship only to the lower 48 contiguous States. Please contact me with any questions.
