Description: Offered here is an exceptionally RARE 1924 Map of Great Britain & Northern Ireland . This shows all the offices of the Midland Bank Limited , England and Wales , The Belfast Banking Company Limited , Northern Ireland , The Clydesdale Bank Limited and North of Scotland Bank Limited , Scotland . This is a scale of 1 inch to 29 miles , it is folded in half and the entire piece measures 30 x 19.75 inches . There are seperate inset Maps for the following areas ( around the edge ), these are - Liverpool, South Yorkshire, Sheffield, Newcastle & Gateshead , Hull, Bradford, Leeds, Leicester, Aberdeen Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leith, Manchester, Grimsby Belfast, Nottingham, Birmingham District, Birmingham Central, South Wales District and the Channel Islands. The map is relevant as of October 1924 , there is different colour coding for the different Banks , and if the place is underlined it shows that the town had more than one office ( for example York fits that criteria ). This was published by GW Bacon & Co Limited , Norwich Street , Fetter Lane , London EC4. The image is still very good and it is on board , and it folds down the centre . The map has become separated along the fold . It has the original string / cord to hang this , as it is meant to be a wall hanging map . There is some wear and water marks to the outer cover . This is an extremely Rare piece , and great for anyone interested in Banking Memorabilia . It is practically Antique and with the demise of High Street Bank premises it is an interesting historical document , and a piece of Social History . It is offered with NO RESERVE . Good Luck .
