All surfaces are sanded completely smooth and finished with Odie's Oil Finish for protection and to bring out the natural beauty of the wood. Odie's Oil is a super high-quality finish that is completely natural, safe and non-toxic. The bottom of the holes is lined with felt to protect the tip of your pen from any damage. The bottom of the stand includes felt pads to prevent scratching. The dimensions of the block are 4.14 in. (10.5 cm) x 1.83 in. (4.64 cm) and 1.9 in. (4.83 cm) tall. The diameter of the holes is 5/8 in. (15.9 mm) and the hole is 1 9/16 in. (4.0 cm) deep which will accommodate most pens or pencils including larger fountain pens (measure the diameter of your pen up to 1 9/16 in. (4.0 cm) from the tip to ensure it will fit). Please note the images show the actual stand you will receive (these stands are made individually and the images are changed after each is sold).
