It is a beautiful watercolour illustration of Hradcany, Prague, signed B. Lehkoziv.I later bought a large box from a Dealer and discovered a further 39 covers, all hand-painted and most signed by B. Lehkoziv, but this time addressed to himself. They were from 1945 to 1948, and most appeared neatly slit open, some had the original Registration receipt tucked inside.Later still I located Boh’s son who informed me that Boh died aged 70 years in 1977. Eventually Boh’s son retired and offered me the balance of some 260 covers from his father’s estate.Boh. Lehkoziv was a private stamp collector and talented amateur artist who only produced covers, mainly for special events and when special cancellations were available. Incredibly the covers range from 1945, under German control, and then Liberation, apparently covers were paid in cash to be sent from 17th May 1945, and then new stamp issues.
