This vintage Luxman receiver has been gone through by a former Luxman authorized service technician who serviced & sold these units when they were new. Every square inch of this receiver has been gone over, to bring this receiver back to factory operating performance. Please read below for details of the restoration & condition:All electrolytic capacitors were removed & replaced with Nichicon audio grade capacitors, to reduce distortion and improve overall sound quality.The memory super capacitor was replaced with a new Panasonic super capacitor - all memory functions work as intended.Display light bulbs were replaced with new, incandescent bulbs identical to the originals, to keep the original look of this receiver, the display is bright, and evenly litEvery solder point on all of the circuit boards was gone through & re-flowed as necessary, to eliminate cracked solder joints to improve reliability, performance, & sound quality.Treble, Bass, Balance, & Volume potentiometers were removed from the receiver, and carefully disassembled for a full, proper cleaning, & removal of stiff grease in the shafts, with new lithium grease. Potentiometers feel like new, & operate flawlessly.All push button controls were also cleaned & lubricated to ensure factory performanceInterior cleaned out to remove dust build-up.Physically this Luxman R-106 receiver is in excellent cosmetic condition for a 36 year old receiver. The cover is clean with the exception of a small area of vintage tape residue on the top back right corner of the cover, and a small chip in the left, side cover of the faceplate. The faceplate has a couple minor nicks on the top edge, but is otherwise in excellent condition with minimal wear from previous usage (see photos). The back panel is in excellent condition as well. The RCA jacks still shine like new. Overall this receiver is in excellent shape all around with minimal wear from previous usage. Please view the photos carefully to judge the condition for yourself. That's it! This receiver is extremely clean at extreme volume levels, records, CD's, tapes, and FM sound fantastic. This Luxman R-106 receiver is ready to enjoy out of the box! We do not accept returns for items that are damaged from shipping or improper use/installation/abuse. We will not accept returns for the receiver for anything else. It will leave our facility in new packaging, in the condition pictured and described above. This Luxman R-106 receiver has been carefully cataloged to prevent false warranty claims & part swapping.
