Description: Ls Lowry "A Cricket Match" Block Framed with double level mount. Dispatched with Royal Mail 2nd Class. A rarely seen classic. The work has only been on public display 3 times since its completion in 1938.First in London in 1939.Sothebys in 1996,and now for five days only (May 2019) at the Lowry Centre to coincide with the start of the 2019 Cricket World Cup to start in June----Which coincidentally England went on to win. The artwork created depicts a group of children playing cricket on the wastelands in the Broughton area of Salford just months before the outbreak of World War 2. The print is in a 27 X 22 centimetre frame and comes with a 2 levelled mount to add a touch of class. The final image shows the original on display at the Lowry.
