Autobiography Luang Phor Pat was born on May 12, 1922, in Ban Sa Talay, Yan Matsee Subdistrict, Phayuha Khiri District, Nakhon Sawan Province. His father was Phut and his mother was Mae Kaew Konchanthet. He was ordained in 1946 at Wat Sa Talay under Phra Thammatrailokachan (Yod Akkwamso) of Wat Khao Kaeo and received the monastic nickname "Punyakamo." Luang Phor Pat studied under several esteemed monks, including Luang Pu Derm of Wat Nong Pho and Luang Pu In of Wat Hang Nam Sakhon, and later studied Metta Maha Niyom with Luang Pu Chub of Wat Phra Borommathat Thung Yang, where he served as abbot for six years before returning to Wat Sa Talay. In 1970, he was appointed abbot of Huai Duan Temple by Mr. Phon, the village headman. On May 6, 2021, he was honored with the royal title “Phrarajamongkol Watcharajarn Phaisan Sathanakit Mahakhanisorn Bowonsangkhaaram Khamwasi.” Luang Phor Pat peacefully passed away at Bangkok Hospital on November 24, 2023, at approximately 1:35 a.m., at the age of 101.
