Description: Maker: Both pieces of this lovely cup and saucer set have the black anchor mark of Royal Chelsea, a trade name of the New Chelsea Porcelain Co. Ltd. of Staffordshire, England. The company produced beautiful pottery from 1912 until 1951, when it was sold to Susie Cooper Pottery Ltd., later associated with the classic English maker Wedgwood. The company used the "Royal Chelseaā€¯ mark from about 1943. Design: The pattern features a striking design of raised turquoise star-shaped flowers and gold leaves against a pure white bone china background trimmed in gold. The handwritten pattern number 4688A appears in red on the base of the cup. Size: The cup is 3 1/2 inches in wide and 2 5/8 inches tall. The saucer is 5 5/8 inches wide. The set weighs 7.9 ounces. Condition: Both pieces are in excellent condition with no marks, nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, crazing, stains or repairs. Please check all the photos very carefully - they are an important part of the description.
