New map of Paris and its Fauborgs. This map: A restrike of the original plate by the Chalcographie du Louvre. The Chalcographie was founded in 1797 and is responsible for conserving and printing from several thousand such plates. This map is set on Rives etching paper and appears to date from the middle third of the 20th century. Unframed. The sheet is approximately 21 3/4" x 19 3/8". The plate dimensions approximately 15 1/4" x 12 1/2". Very good condition with faint smudge marks, lower center right neat edge of sheet. Please examine photos closely.
