Description: This rare Louisiana Opal is so amazing on both sides that I slightly cabbed both sides. There is great color on both sides. If you are a jeweler you may be able to do a two-sided pendant. I had a difficult time when first working this piece trying to decide which side would be my front! There are photos of both sides. The color in this material was very hard to capture. When I moved the piece the color changed constantly. Louisiana Opal is a sand opal meaning the grains of sand are held together by the opal.This material was found in a mine in Southern Louisiana which has been closed for years!
