Then they introduced Buy It Now and now most purchases are BIN. That means that auctions, which usually ask less $, are being ignored and often get no bids. You might consider bidding on auctions again because you have a much better chance of winning than before BIN was introduced. AUCTIONS: Advantages of earlier bidding. When you bid, it locks in the seller's description. It can only be added to only at the very bottom of the page where no one looks. If you see an error that may discourage bidding, (spelling etc) it is to your advantage to force that error to remain because other bidders may then miss it altogether. Try misspelling your item and see what comes up. An early auction bid also prevents the seller from later adding a Buy It Now to a listing. It must remain an auction if it has a bid and cannot disappear because someone emailed the seller with a good BIN offer.
