Description: Lot of 24 Original WWII photos taken by Walter and Earl Lindeman. Walter Lindeman served with the 5th Air Force in the Pacific and Earl Lindeman served with the 26th Infantry. These are all photos taken by either Walter or Earl Lindeman with their hand written notations. These photos serve to document some of the journey taken by these two men, from a base in Alabama before they deployed overseas, to many islands in the Pacific with the 5th Air Force to Germany and Eastern Europe with the 26th Infantry. This is a nice variety of the sights, locations, and people encountered by these two soldiers including some interesting photos like posing on the top of the wreckage of a downed German Junkers Ju, or soldiers about the ship General Weaver in transit. These photos are in very nice condition for their age. They may have minor wear from age and storage, but present very nicely! From a smoke free, pet free home!
