Description: Offered is a rare full issue of the Los Angeles Times Newspaper for Thursday, January 10, 1929. It is a genuine antique paper and includes the certificate of authenticity, which is as large as a single newspaper leaf. Collectors will be very pleased with the condition of this rare, hard-to-find item. The corners and edges are remarkably sharp. There are a few very minute, almost unnoticeable 1cm long tears in a couple isolated locations, and a 1" x 2" chip missing from a single leaf. The binding was done maroon leatherette style with gilt stamped title--and is ever so slightly bowed. The former owner's name is gilt stamped in the lower corner of the front board. Once again, this is a bound, folio sized newspaper, that measures approximately 2 x 2 feet. Overall condition is excellent. It blew mind mind to see oil parcels being offered in the city of Lawndale, CA, as anyone who has been there recently can attest to the lack of industry within the city. I think it was 149 dollars that covered the down payment for the model "A" Ford in the classified section for 1929. Paper might also be of interest to economists due to it being published some 10 months prior to the stock market crash. Questions are always welcome.
