And this beautiful build-up includes the kit’s original box, and an exclusive 2 ½”x 3” embroidered Crypto Legends patch, only included with the first 10 models in the edition. Dennett’s Nessie launched his Crypto Legends line of famous Cryptozoology* creatures rendered as cast resin models on thematic display bases. His Loch Monster is superb, a finely detailed beast with a wonderful body flow and just the right facial attitude. And the seabed base is equally grand, with craggy rocks, a sunken Celtic cross, Loch trees, and a slimy eel. Various alternate names for the creature are embossed, wrapping all around the display base. Produced in 2013, Nessie was released through Dennett’s company, Moondevil Studios as a highly limited edition model kit, flawlessly cast in off-white resin. This one is handsomely finished in rich layers of murky green, with equal attention given to his creepy underwater display base. Although perfectly balanced, Nessie is pegged at both the tail bottom and one rear fin for stability on display, but remains unglued for safer shipping. Once in place, the model measures 10” tall x 9 ½” wide x 6 ½” deep. Sadly, Moondevil’s Loch Ness Monster hasn’t been seen for many years, as this fine model is long out of production.
