Description: DURING EXTREAM HEAT/COLD, PLEASE MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE SOMEONE HOME SO THE BOX DOESN'T SIT OUTSIDE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME. WE GO TO GREAT LENGTHS TO MAKE SURE YOUR ORDER WILL ARRIVE ALIVE, BUT WE CAN NOT BE RESPONABLE FOR DOA'S THAT HAVE BEEN LEFT OUTSIDE IN THE WEATHER. The Marine Betta, also known as the Comet, is a hardy and disease-resistant fish found in rocky crevices at depths up to 45 meters. It is a natural predator, often adopting a "head down" position with a false "eye spot" near its tail resembling the head of a moray eel. Though not commonly kept in reef-style aquariums, the Marine Betta is considered safe with corals and anemones. However, it will prey on small fish and shrimp. Being nocturnal, it requires hiding places to avoid bright lighting and is more active at dusk. When first introduced into an aquarium, live saltwater feeder shrimp can entice the Marine Betta to eat. Live foods, such as feeder fish or shrimp, help it adjust initially. Once acclimated, it can be fed meaty foods and frozen preparations 2-4 times DOA RULES IMPORTANT: Please read before buying this live product: Someone must be present to receive and inspect the package on the FIRST DELIVERY attempt. We must be notified of DOA (dead on arrival) within TWO HOURS of FIRST DELIVERY TIME. Please provide pictures of the bag and the deceased animals. If these conditions are met, then we will replace the DOA at no cost to you. These are live organisms. THEY CANNOT SURVIVE OUTSIDE IN YOUR MAILBOX OR FRONT PORCH FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME.
