As you know, Lionel made this series prewar and postwar. However, they never made an observation for the set back in the old days. This car was a custom job where one vestibule area was converted into a n observation deck. I am not sure who did it, but it is neat! Fun fact: MTH continued the tradition of calling Heavyweights "Madisons" based on Lionel's 1940s Heavyweight model, one of which was named "Madison". It stuck to the whole style! PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES AS THEY ARE PART OF THE DESCRIPTION. CONDITION: C-7. If being picky, car is probably low end of excellent, but still excellent. If you look closely, you will see some decal wear, paint chips on rails, and a small window strip scratch/nick. Otherwise, a really nice car. Pictured for you. NO BOX but will pack very safely.
