Description: Description: Victorian Trade Card - LION COFFEE - Woolson Spice Co., Toledo, Ohio Here's a cute vintage advertising card showing two adorable puppies next to a pile of straw. One dog is sleeping while the other remains vigilant. I believe the original artist for this illustration was Helena Maguire, although no signature is visible. The back of the card consists of a "CERTIFICATE of PURITY", attesting to, among other things, that Lion Coffee "is entirely free from glazing or doctoring of any kind". Size: approx. 4" x 5.5" Date: Not dated. Lithographer: Not identified. Condition: Very good, I'd say. This card is lightly soiled, with just slightly worn edges and corners.
