It contains all non-error printing varieties of Scott number 1868 Lillian M. Gilbreth. Mouse over the image above to see examples of the tagging. The stamps are from the FIRST GREAT AMERICANS series. The dark green colored stamps were first issued in panes of 100 with revolving plate plus standard marginal markings. This original printing was on the A press at 920-SPR. Irregular tagging block sizes are typical on this issue. The second 40-cent variety went to press 7-14-87 with bullseye perforations (Press 800-SPR) and corner plates. This additional printing was possibly to meet the upcoming rate increase in early 1988. Forty cents then paid the per oz. U.S. International surface letter rate to all countries other than Canada and Mexico. All 1868 stamps went off sale by June 30, 1991.
