While the top portion of Swampers is made of leather, there are certain work environments that due to the nature of their chemicals and contaminants that tend to attack leather.Rather than wearing a work boot that has leather in the lower foot portion in a work environment that leads to leather to possibly become hard, brittle, and break; the Lehigh Swampers stock # 1107 with its TPU lower foot portion may be just what you are seeking. A key comfort feature of the 1107 is its contoured removable polyurethane cushion insole providing direct underfoot cushion comfort. The polyurethane material used in its insole is known for its cushioning while not bottoming out features. Some open celled foams feel very comfortable to the initial touch, but will tend to break down faster than a product made with polyurethane. Plus, it is extra thick in the heel contact area.
