Description: All NIB may have dents, creases, minor tears, dust or other imperfections due to shelving storage, prior shipping or other damage that can occur with soft cardboard boxes. Seals can age and become loose, dusty. The box has not been opened previously so any missing pieces would be due to LEGO manufacturing issues. LEGO has a policy where missing parts can be requested for new sets where pieces are missing or damaged. I can not guarantee that the manufacturing process that LEGO uses will result in all pieces being in their box. See notes on Bricklink.com from the original designer. This makes the lock not work, or very poorly at best. I have addressed Bricklink and urged them to fix the problem - to revise the official building instructions and perhaps even send replacements parts - but Bricklink don’t see the problem as paramount as I do. So if you have problems with your lock mechanism, please see my posts below how to fix it. As the designer I am terribly sorry about the situation, but I am equally proud to have been chosen for the Bricklink Designer Program, and extremely honoured that YOU have supported my project. THANK YOU. Now this here cowboy will ride into the sunset Il_Buono, thank you for an outstanding model! It was a joy to build and operate. Piggybacking on your comments - I tried replacing only the 2 pins for the longer red cylinders with the correct 1/2 pins, and found that was sufficient to restore the lock mechanism to smooth operation. My set even had 2 spare 1/2 pins in LBG so I was able to implement this fix with no additional parts. The notorious outlaw Billy the Brick has robbed Stud City and gotten away with sheriff Wild Brick Hiccup's safe. Now, he might be the fastest gunslinger in the West, but not the brightest brick. Will he be able to crack the combination lock and get the gold nugget? Will you?Working Lock MechanismAlready as a young gun, I was buildin' mechanical contraptions with LEGO bricks. Now, as an ol' cowboy, that hasn't changed. And what's more essential in the Wild West than a safe? Now, after endless hours of buildin', rebuildin' and refinin', I'm confident the result will make any aspiring brick robber reconsider their career path. The combination lock works just like a real safe. And because it LEGO, you can chose and build your own secret code. And if your code is compromised you can quickly rebuild the code. Just don't forget to write ...ehh I mean build... your code into the book so you won't forget it.The safe has 24 possible combinations, and it comes with 12 code bricks that can be combined to always keep your secret code in the book. The Small PrintThe safe comes pre-stocked with everything a Wild West gunslinger needs, including a gold nugget, dynamite, an old cheese, and half a sausage. These general goods are fixed on studs so they don't fall off when handling (or robbing) the safe. However, they can easily be removed in case you need room for your own valuables.
