Description: We rarely get to list any of this style dough bowl. It's a little deeper than the usual ones we offer. I finished this one in a natural finish. The bowl you SEE is the EXACT bowl you will receive! We do NOT sand down past all the carving marks and imperfections. We believe those are what give it such a primitive OLD look. So you will see carving marks and small splits to the wood. All we do is "slightly" sand it and then we start the finishing process to achieve the wonderful Aged look. THIS bowl has a thin split to the lip (see pictures 11 & 12). We filled it in & then waxed over it with our own bees wax formula.........allowed it to dry fully..........and then buffed the entire thing out. And BECAUSE of the distressing process these are NOT suitable for rolling dough or storing raw foods (although perfectly fine for foods with shells or peels (like oranges, pears, apples, bananas, etc). VERY primitive piece. Hand carved with handles on each end. Overall length is 25 7/8 inches. It is 11 3/4" wide. The opening part measures 20" x 10 5/8". It stands 4" to 4 1/8" (remember....it's a HAND carved piece!). HEAVY Piece at SIX POUNDS! The bowl you SEE is the EXACT bowl you will receive!
