Description: A very handsome solid bronze inkwell featuring a Borzoi standing outside with lots of flora and fauna beside a river or brook with flowing water. The dog measures 6 inches long by 4 inches tall and the base is 10”L x 7”D x 2 1/2”H and fitted with four ball feet. It has a ceramic insert for the ink which is permanently affixed to the well. The only marking are the etched letters HK which may be the foundry or the artist is my guess. It is in wonderful condition with lovely aged patina and weighs a little over 5 pounds. The nice antique dip pen with floral decorations is included. There is a small amount of natural verdigris on the dog which can be cleaned with oil but I prefer it myself.
