Description: Preserved fossil tooth of the extinct mackerel shark, Otodus obliquus, still in the mateix. It was collected in Morocco and is Eocene in age, approximately 50-60 million years old. This tooth is approximately 65 mm (2-9/16") long, which is a very respectable size. The entire specimen (including matrix) is a little under 84 mm (3.25") in length.
