The body looks as though it has a clear glass overlay. The body also has a stunning gold & creamy colors with a hand painted brown & blue floral bouquet which is accented with white enamel center gilt gold leaves. It has a brass base. It measure 34" to the top of the finale. The lamp work great it is a 3 way switch. I see no cracks or chips. There is some patina on the brass from aging over the years. There is some drip mark's under the clear overlay coat...which seems to be a part of the paint design....This is a stunning and elegant lamp and that the pictures do not do them justice.
