Description: Up for auction is a shop made replacement 24-Tooth spiral / helical drive gear for a K&T horizontal mill. This is the 24tooth spindle drive gear to power a “Standard High Speed Adjustable Universal Milling Attachment” for the following size machines: (1H – 1CH - 1HL – 2HL – 2CHL) If the size of your machine is different, please contact me to verify fitment.What you are buying is a 24-tooth 9 DP right hand helix gear. This will mount in the NMTB40 Taper spindle, and mesh with the 23-tooth 9DP left hand helix gear inside vertical head. Picture included of dimensions.This is a shop made gear out of HR 1045 steel, and it will not be heat treated as I currently do not have those capabilities. See in the pictures the gear is not 100%complete, and would need the following completed by purchaser: 1.) Mill drive dogs into back of gear (excess material has been left on gear blank)2.) Mount on NMTB40arbor3.) Install a drive disc on front of gear (3.000” diameter x .196” thick), this allows proper setting of gear mesh. If you are curious if this gear will fit your machine.
