Description: Grain Size: 2 mm - 3+ mm Kanuma is soft highly acidic (pH level about 5.5) Japanese volcanic soil that's ideal for its moisture retention and water drainage properties. Its very porous pebbles have similar physical characteristics as pumice. It's best used by mixing it with other soils such as akadama or bonsai potting soil. The pale yellow color of it can also be used as an attractive soil topper.More can be added to the soil mix for acid loving plants with fine hair-like roots such as azaleas, camellias, gardenias, etc. It's also great for acid loving orchids as well!We've repackaged this soil to fit inside a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Large Box for better priced shipping.
