The knife is constructed of 1095 Cro-Van (Carbon) with a HRC (hardness) rating of 56-58. The flat ground drop point blade provides a great edge which can be easily sharpened in the field. The knife is black epoxy powder coated for corrosion protection. The outfit comes with a black snap-in friction release sheath and a 550 neck cord.
