Description: This is a rare, hard to find cap from a U.S. military installation in the Pacific, the Johnson Atoll, which was used by the Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard. The cap reads: "Johnson Island Golf Club," which is written inside an outline of the shape of the island. The cap has a mesh back and adjustable snap back and is in very good condition. The cap appears to be from the 1970s. FROM WIKIPEDIA: The isolated atoll has been under the control of the U.S. Military since 1934. During that time, it was variously used as a naval refueling depot, an airbase, a testing site for nuclear and biological weapons, a secret missile base, and a site for the storage and disposal of chemical weapons and Agent Orange.
