Honestly, I have never been so terrified by a lead singer before or since. John’s stare into the crowd and intense scream had me legit worried that he might very well kill someone. Now I had never seen Negative Approach but I couldn’t believe John was able to take the intensity of what he was doing with a hardcore band and have it perfectly transition to more of a blues rock outfit. It was a shocking set for sure and it left an indelible impression on me. Turns out John isn’t going to kill anyone and is actually really a charming individual and was very agreeable to doing the first of my color block style images as a Bifocal shirt.
