Description: Jim Steranko’s O’Ryanns Odyssey Portfolio Sketch Book 1970 Super Rare Comic Art This extremely rare O'Ryann's Odyssey Portfolio was released as an exclusive to the 1970 Detroit Triple Fan Fair. It contains the concept art to a story idea Steranko pitched to Marvel but apparently was told it was too advanced. Steranko recently hinted on Twitter that this is one of his upcoming projects. Some sources state it was limited to 1,000 copies printed, others claim only 750 copies were printed. Either way this piece comes up for sale very infrequently, once they have a copy Steranko collectors tend to keep it. Contains 16 stapled pages (including front and back cover) and a few sample pages are shown for reference. There are a couple of bumps to the fore edge corners, a crease that runs through the book at the top corner and the fore edge has a touch of light toning. There is a pencil price to the lower corner. Otherwise this is a flat straight firmly bound clean copy, with no signs of handling on the interior pages. The art is stunning and only reminds us of what could have been. A rare and sought after Steranko Item. I am not a professional comic grader, but do know a nice book when I see one.
