Description: Up for bid is a nice blocky chunk of a Grey-White fluorescing Willemite from the Puttapa Mine in Australia. Most of the Puttapa pieces have small amounts of this material but it is rare to find solid pieces like this. This specimen has a few spots of the classic green fluorescing Willemite and some areas of Orange-Red fluorescing Calcite. The Puttapa Mine was closed in 2007 and the dumps covered with topsoil. All specimens that were still accessible have been collected. There will be no more Puttapa material coming out of Australia. When the existing dealer stock is exhausted that will be it!
