There is much information relating to this on car forums and on a certain video sharing website The Swirl valve can be effectively bypassed by fitting a resistor across 2 of the connections on a plug that connects to the Pierburg 6421500494 actuator motor. All parts and materials used are high quality and are designed to withstand the very high temperatures in the engine compartment. This plug has the resistor fitted inside it so it is a neat plug-in solution and needs no soldering or fiddling about. Once fitted, the engine fault code MAY need to be cleared using a fault code reader - you will need to either buy your own or get someone to do this for you.
