Description: Here I have for sale a stated first printing of Jean Genet's Miracle Of The Rose published in hardcover with dust jacket by Grove Press in 1966. His third book published in English translation, this was his second novel written in prison after Our Lady of The Flowers (Notre Dames des Fleurs). Translated from the French by Bernard Flechtman. The book is Near Fine with bright clean boards and gilt. The mildest of edge wear and a bit of dust to top stain. Tight binding and clean, pristine, unmarked pages. The dust jacket is VG++ with a few tiny chips but remarkably clean. It is not price-clipped and is protected in mylar.
