Description: This Jaquet-Droz watch is a rare find, particularly in this condition and I believe is one of very few survivors from an era before the watch-maker was truly famous. Whilst researching the provenance of this watch I discovered that Jaquet-Droz were not always the maker of luxury timepieces that they are today. This outstanding Jumping Hour watch is probably from the 60's or 70's and I believe is realistically priced. The champagne dial is perfect and shines out its pearlescent light, appearing different and beautiful from every angle. A manually wound movement powers the 3 apertures that display the hours, minutes and seconds. The seventeen-jewel Swiss movement was recently serviced and is keeping time today as well as it did almost 50 years ago.This is a great watch for any collection and especially for someone who doesn’t go with run of the mill brands.
