Description: This lot consists of an Antique Mantle Clock, made by Japy Freres - France (serial number is shown in one of the photo's), possibly sold through Bigelow Kennard & Co. of Boston. Approx. 12 1/2" in height, 6" in width, and 4 1/2" in depth. First thing I noticed is that there seems to be some mercury missing - not currently balanced - see photo's. Both winding mechanisms are fully wound, not sure on the working condition of the clock, though I did manage to run it for a few minutes (pendulum is unbalanced because of the loss of mercury). There is a ding in the top edge of the back panel glass - see photo's. Comes with a key. Fairly heavy unit. Overall condition appears to be VERY GOOD with no major wear evident, dial face is clean, all stones are intact, chime seems to work as it should. There is a ding in the glass on the back panel - see photo's. Possibly overwound and seems to be missing some mercury in the pendulum. Money back guarantee (minus any shipping charges) if item is not as advertised above.
