Description: Grain Size: 3 mm - 4+ mm (May vary a bit due to it being a natural product dug up from the Earth) Hyuga is a light weight volcanic soil that's ideal for its moisture retention and water drainage properties. Its very porous pebbles have similar physical characteristics as pumice. The minerals inside it help lower the pH levels and aid in the exchange of harmful gases to help prevent root rot for your bonsai tree. It's best used by mixing it with other soils such as akadama or bonsai potting soil. It can also be used as a middle rocky soil layer for orchid plants. They are shipped to you via quantities of 18 liters per box for every single order. We've repackaged this soil to fit inside a USPS Priority Large Flat Rate Box for better priced shipping. (!) PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE PURCHASING ANY BONSAI SOILS (!) Special Notes about Bonsai Soil Packaging for Shipping: All bonsai soils (including imported ones) will be repackaged to better fit into the shipping box. They will be bagged on the inside of the box to keep it clean upon arrival.
