Description: いっすんぼうし translates to the word "Issunboushi" (or Issun-bōshi), or in English "One-Sun Boy" or sometimes "Little One-Inch" or "The Inch-High Samurai." It is a Japanese fairy tale about a tiny one-inch boy who travels to become a warrior. A girl he meets along the way gets kidnapped by an ogre. When Issunboushi tries to save her, the ogre swallows Issunboushi. While in the ogre's stomach, Issunboushi uses a needle to stab him, and the ogre spit Issunboushi out and runs away, dropping a magic hammer. Issunhoushi swings the hammer to grow to a height of six feet. He marries the girl and uses the hammer to bring food and treasures to the family.
