Description: I'm currently listing a large number of playbills from out-of-town tryouts prior to the Broadway runs. Many are from early performances when revisions were common and include song titles that were cut before opening in New York. (See cut song below.) ....... This is a rare July 29th, 1963 "Stage" playbill from the Pre-Broadway engagement of the MEREDITH WILLSON musical "HERE'S LOVE" at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit, Michigan. (The production would open October 3rd, 1963 at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City and run for 334 performances.) ..... The musical starred JANIS PAIGE, CRAIG STEVENS and LAURENCE NAISMITH and featured Fred Gwynne, Diane Ball, Michael Bennett, Duane Bodin, Debbie Breen, Elaine Cancilla, Kathy Cody, Patrick Cummings, Ceil Delli, Larry Douglas, David Doyle, Suzanne France, Penny Gaston, William Griffis, Cliff Hall, Del Horstmann, Reby Howells, Gene Kelton, Ronnie Kroll, Mara Landi, Baayork Lee, Valerie Lee, David Lober, Sal Lombardo, Mary Louise, William Louther, Bob McClure, Terrin Miles, Hal Norman, Patti Pappathatos, Paul Reed, Sandra Roveta, Arthur Rubin, Darrell Sandeen, Carolsue Shaer, John Sharpe, Bill Stanton and Leesa Troy ..... The playbill includes an ad for the Original Broadway Cast recording of "HERE'S LOVE" on Columbia Records (last scanned image) ..... CUT SONG: The list of musical numbers includes "Dear Mister Santa Claus" which was cut out-of-town ..... CONDITION: With the exception of light edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
