Description: Up for sale is a hardcover copy of Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey published in 1971 by The Limited Editions Club. Also included is the original glassine dust jacket along with the slipcase. The book measures just under 11" X 8" and is 210 pages in length with illustrations by Clarke Hutton. It is #955 in an edition of 1500 copies, signed by Hutton on the limitations page. The book itself is in attractive shape with light edge and corner wear along with a bit of sun-fading to the spine cloth. The hinges are tight and the binding is sturdy; the interior pages are clean & unmarked. The glassine is somewhat wrinkled and tanned (especially along the spine), and there are some short tears and edge chips, but overall it is still fairly well-preserved. The slipcase is structurally sound, but there is fairly heavy (and uneven) sun-fading along with some scattered stains and soiling.
