Description: Here is a magnificent covered satin glass compote or candy dish. It is a beautiful and interesting Empoli Italian art glass covered compote. It is made of white glass with a matte (satin) finish and has matte red glass rigaree around the compote and around the lid. The lid has a white glass 5 petal flower-like handle. The compote measures 9 1/2 inches to the top of the lid, 7 1/4 inches at the widest point and the base is 4 1/2 inches in diameter. This is a lovely and unusual piece of Italian glass.
