Description: Rhizomes are shipped bare-root. I dig them when you order, then clean and dry them, so it may take 3-4 days until they are shipped. Plant in full sun for best results. Space 10-18 inches apart. Don't plant too deep. Dig a hole, mound soil in center, place plant on top, and spread the roots down over the mound. Fill in and pack soil, making sure the top of the rhizome remains exposed, or barely covered. Water well. I originally dug these irises from my grandmother's garden in Tennessee and transplanted them at my new home in North Carolina. I started with only a few, and after 20 years, I have a wide swath of flowers that do not disappoint each spring. I hope you will enjoy these irises as much as I do. If you have any problems or concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. I will do what I can to ensure you are a satisfied customer.
