This photograph has been taken from an album which belonged to 2591670 L/Cpl Herbert Francis Cornwall, of Hastings, E.Sussex. He was in the Royal Signals during WW2. In about 1942 he was in charge of the signal offices on the Iran Railway between the Gulf and Tehran.He was then transferred to HQ 10th army in Baghdad, (intelligence), then on to India to fight the Japanese. He was mentioned in despatches and rose to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He lived to be over 100 years old. my reference I1
