Originally published by the Gnome Press in a single printing in 1950, the book was next printed by Grosset & Dunlap in 1952 using a similar design, but with a green jacket and book rather than the original red. -Condition and Description: Pale green cloth lettered and ornamented in black. Hinges and binding tight. Free and clear of writing and underlining. The jacket shows some rubbing and chipping, most notably at the crown of the spine. The joints of the two flaps have been discreetly and almost invisible reinforced on the verso. The jacket has been placed in a clear and removable mylar cover.
